I typed some info in a Word document. Now when I try to delete some info and
replace it.....it just draws a line through it and turns it red then shows
the new info normally. WHY, did I hit a button I should not have? How do I
stop this so I can delete unneeded info? Thanks for any help you can give me.

You have turned on Track Changes.

You have turned on Track Changes. You need to turn it off and accept all the
changes. For detailed instructions on how to do this, see

You probably have revisions turned ON. Are you using Word 2007?

You probably have revisions turned ON. Are you using Word 2007? That's what I have, and to turn them off, you need to click the Review tab in the Ribbon and select Track changes in the drop-down to turn them off.

THANKS! I'd never even heard of Tracking *L*. I must have clicked it in
error. Again, Thank You.
That's pretty hard to do accidentally.
