Word - Existing images no longer displayed in MS Word 2007 docs

Hi, I have been using MS Word 2007 for over a year. Since last afternoon, my
existing MS Word 2007 documents are not displaying the images that were
imbedded (embedded) in them. This even includes images in the header. Only
the black frame (rectangular) of the image is displayed. How can I fix this
so that all images are displayed again? Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Word 2007 - Spellchecker stopped working - tried every which way to fix Word Hi, I run an XP machine with Office 2007 (student). Out of the blue, spell back to 'complete.' A Google search throws up registry fixes, but with different lines, for Word 2007. When I open an older Word 2007 doc, containing exactly UK settings, spellchecker opens. These same settings appear in normal.dot. Driving me mad. Advice / solution? Many thanks. You correct in what you say. You are understanding one of the most complex areas of Word use. Well done: this is a major achievement. One of us should Linda! Word 2008 won't open older Word documents Word Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I am using Word 2008 (12.2.4) on an iMac running OS 10.6.3. I'd like to open some Word documents created a while back in Word 5.1 (when life was much simpler!). When I double click on the document icon this does not work either, and nor does the workaround at http: / / support.microsoft.com / kb / 953266< / a> that the dialogue box directs you to.

I do
