Word - Tracking changes: Reviewing Pane: Insertions etc: Is it possible to get specific date

Asked By semiotically on 29-Jul-12 09:07 AM
Is there any way PRIOR/ PREVIOUS insertions or deletions can be viewed
with timestamp i.e. find the specific date/time they were added/
deleted...

Returned to old document & needing to use 'Track Changes' feature... so
clicked & these appeared in reviewing pane; so thought it would be good
place to start to see if I can find out when these changes were made (if
this is possible)?

Once a change has been Accepted or Rejected, it is gone forever (as
soon as you close the file; otherwise you can Undo it). But any
visible Change should show its author and date when you hover over it.

Thanks yes, hovering over the 'balloons' really shows this..

One of those days... I have been copying pages from OneNote to Word, only
to notice towards the end that if you close OneNote & copy to clipboard
& then paste to Word, Word treats bullet points & their indents
differently (incorrectly) as to when you keep OneNote open & paste into
Word. Hurrah! Back to the drawing board that is OneNote, that will
remain open...

Ah -- do you show your additions/deletions in balloons rather than
with underline/strikethrough in text? I have never used that service. If
you hover over an in-text change, it shows you the info.

No idea about One Note. What happens if you use "Paste Special"
instead of Ctrl-V (or the Paste icon)?
