Word - Is it possible to have MS Word show two open documents as tabs?

Whenever I open a Word document, it starts a new instance of MS Word. What I
want is that each time a document is opened, it should be shown as a tab in
the existing document window. How can I achieve this?

No, Word does not do this.
What you can do is check / uncheck the Windows in Taskbar check box under
Tools, Options, View. This will toggle the view of Word on the taskbar, ie a
documents on that single tab (unchecked).
The aboe is for 2003 and prior, if you have 2007 use the Word Options button
for find this option.
Hope this helps

Suggest to Microsoft that they include this feature in a future version of
Word.

There are third party tools which provide such features. One example of such
a free tool is OfficeTab (just do a Google search).
As such tools do not have access to Word's internal window drawing routines,
they have to overwrite them to achieve their functionality. As a result they
tend to be unreliable and unstable.

Removing or Converting HTML code when Web text is pasted into Word 2007 Word I have just searched this group for prior threads about this topic and I did text which I copy from Web pages and which I then paste into my local Word 2007 files. I value the content which is displayed at one blog. The content is local files. When I have saved Web text to my local files I can use Word 2007's capabilities to reformat the text, to highlight sections in different colors and fonts using the pages' "Edit" menus. I am able to paste that code into my local Word 2007 files as a way of working around the disablement of the usual copy capability I paste to my local files from the blog. I have three questions: 1. Is Word 2007 able to remove all HTML code from text of this type? 2. Is Word 2007 able to "convert" such code to "Rich Text Format"? 3. Can I only process separate utility which is intended for this purpose? I have tried to find guidance in Microsoft's own online Help pages, but I was not successful. I think Microsoft offers some
multilevel lists Word I am writing an engineering report using multilevel lists. Every 4th or 5th page, Word places a large blank space on the page after I press Enter. The new list existing page. Sometimes only 3 or 4 lines of text are on the page when Word inserts the blank space and starts a new page. I displayed formatting marks and there next page and press Enter, 3 or 4 sections later (3.2.5 for example), Word fills the blank section on the previous page with text and the document looks normal up numbering and if I have to insert a sub-section (3.2.5.1), Word adds another 1 / 2 page blank space. To make the 44 page document look somewhat unsuccessfully to "select" the blank section, it is not a hidden table. Can anyone help?
