Edit Multilevel List in Word 2007

Asked By Kylie

In Word XP we use heading styles and attach our numbering to them. From time
to time our heading 2 would lose it is numbering. To fix this, we would edit
the style by modifying heading 1, going to format > numbering, then selecting
customise which would bring up the Customize Outline Numbered List dialog
box. I would then click on Level 2 and change the Link level to style back
to heading 2 as it had lost its link.

In Word 2007, the same thing has happened where I need to fix the heading 2
numbering as it has lost is gallery, but I cann't figure out how to get into
the Edit Multilevel list dialog box.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Select the first paragraph that is formatted with Heading 1 style, then on
the Home tab of the Ribbon click on the Multi-Level list pulldown and then
click on the (inappropriatley named) Define New Multilevel List.. item in
the bottom of the dialog.

That will take you to the dialog that you were used to using in Word 2003.
