Word - Paragraph spacing is off

I copied an article from online and pasted into word. The article was single
spaced, with a double space between paragraphs. In word, I attempted to
change it to double spacing, but there is a triple space between paragraphs.
I have tried to get rid of the triple space between paragraphs, but I cannot. I
want it all to be double spaced, within paragraphs and between paragraphs.
How can I get this to happen? Help please!

DO NOT use empty paragraphs (Enter key presses) to make spaces between
paragraphs. Doing so leads to problems like the one you have now.
Instead, use the Space Before or Space After settings in the paragraph
attributes of the style applied to the text. That way, the spacing
between paragraphs is independent of the spacing between lines within
a paragraph.
To remove the extra paragraph marks, use the Replace dialog. Put the
code ^p^p (representing two paragraph marks) in the Find What box,
and the code ^p in the Replace With box, then click Replace All.

Most likely the text you copied had some Spacing Before/After. When you
changed to double spacing, you did not remove this. Set the Before/After
spacing to 0, and then you will have double spacing consistently through and
between paragraphs.

Word 2007 - Spellchecker stopped working - tried every which way to fix Word Hi, I run an XP machine with Office 2007 (student). Out of the blue, spell back to 'complete.' A Google search throws up registry fixes, but with different lines, for Word 2007. When I open an older Word 2007 doc, containing exactly UK settings, spellchecker opens. These same settings appear in normal.dot. Driving me mad. Advice / solution? Many thanks. How to search for (and select) paragraphs with certain format parameters Word I posted this in another thread, but the thread title dealt with a larger contextual problem, so it may go unnoticed. In Word 2003, I want to search for, and select, all paragraphs that conform to a list of attributes e.g. left indent of 0.53", hanging indent at 0.26", etc. . From the Replace" panel, I chose Format-> Paragraph, and set the left indent to 0.53", etc. . Word did not find any of the paragraphs conforming to these attributes, even though they exist. Is there a way to search for (and select) paragraphs based on formatting parameters? I am using Word 2003. Word Document Management Discussions Microsoft Word (1) Suzanne S. Word 2010 Template changes not being saved Word Maybe I am not using the template concept correctly but. . . I would like to alter font, font size, line spacing and margins. I have tried to modify the font related attributes for the Normal template via the button on the Ribbon / Styles toolbar. Right-click / Modify. When I close Word and open it up again, it is back to Calibri 11 again. I also saved file but Search does not find normal.dotx or .dotm. What am I missing?
